Craig's NFL Mock 1.0

Where I would go
Reason
1
Cleveland Browns
Myles Garrett, DE - Texas A&M
Going to be honest – I’m not a big Myles Garrett guy. Too often we’ve seen guys with great measurables come off draft boards too early as “locks”. Take a look at how Garrett got his 8.5 sacks last season – 4.5 against UT San Antonio, and 2 against Auburn. Outside of those two games, only 2 sacks all season. Hold the Von Miller A&M Product comparisons.
2
San Francisco 49ers
Jamaal Adams, S – LSU
No doubt Shanahan wants an offensive weapon in this draft, because let’s face it – these niners ain’t the falcons. I do expect the niners to try and trade this pick up until the last 2 minutes left in their pick, just because there simply isn’t offensive talent worthy of taking here. Since predicting any sort of trade is impossible, I’m giving the niners the hard hitting safety out of LSU, who John Lynch will love seeing take after himself as his first ever pick at the reigns.
3
Chicago Bears
Marshon Lattimore, CB – Ohio State
Chicago needs pass defense, and perfect timing with this year’s corner class. Was between Lattimore and Hooker here but went Lattimore, as they have to face guys like Aaron Rodgers and Matthew Stafford twice a year.
4
Jacksonville Jaguars
Leonard Fournette, RB – LSU
If anyone knows one thing about me, they know I love me some jags. They’ve spent enough on defense, and it’s time to turn start focusing on the offensive side of the football, where they have issues at QB, OL, and RB. No QBs or OLs worthy of a top pick here, so I’m going with Fournette who will have an immediate impact out of that backfield on day 1.
5
Tennessee Titans
Solomon Thomas, DE, Stanford
Some mocks have Thomas going as high as 2 to the niners, but I see him finding a nice home here in Tennessee, where a pass rush is desperately needed. Tennessee also needs to help Marriotta out on the offensive side of the ball, but look for a key addition later in this mock, as they’re lucky enough to have two offensive picks.
6
New York Jets
Malik Hooker, S – Ohio State
Fuckin’ Jets man. Coming from a Giants fan who supports the Jets, they can easily fuck this one up and pull the trigger on another QB who isn’t ready and go with Mitch. Although that wouldn’t be bad so long as McCown can be a mentor (love McCown as a person for his football IQ), they’ve already fucked QB up enough in recent years that they mind as well go 0-16 this year and get Darnold next year. That said, I’m giving them the ball hawk safety out of Ohio State. Hooker could be gone by here, in which case I suspect they’ll add either Adams or Lattimore – whichever alternative is available. Let’s not forget the Jets best years came with Cromartie & Revis on the outside, so they’d probably prefer Lattimore – just might be gone.
7
San Diego Chargers
Johnathan Allen, DE - Alabama
Joey Bosa is a fucking beast. Johnathan Allen is a fucking brute in the trenches. You put those two puppies on the edge of that line and watch things start to finally come together for this Chargers defense. I might even like Allen more than Garret… call me crazy
8
Carolina Panthers
Christian McCaffrey, RB – Stanford
McCaffrey is probably the most 2017 NFL ready back in this draft – that meaning he fits the bill of being able to catch passes out of the backfield and still carry the ball 15+ times per game. By the way – go check out the video this kid uploaded last week… I’ve never seen footwork like that. Carolina needs a post-Johnathan Stewart era RB, and McCaffrey could even help Cam with some check down/dump passes that will alleviate Cam’s need to run around and get his clot cleaned every drive.
9
Cincinnati Bengals
Haasan Reddick, LB – Temple
Foster clearly has issues. After being uninvited to the combine and then testing positive for a diluted sample, there clearly are concerns. That said, I have Haasan Reddick taking over as this draft class’ top LB. Watched this kids combine and he jumped off the screen all day long. LeVeon Bell would have a much tougher time trying to run around two savages in Vontaze Burfect and Haasan Reddick twice a season. Marvin Lewis – you already have Pacman and Vontaze… add to the defensive savages.
10
Buffalo Bills
Mike Williams, WR – Clemson
Picture this: the Bills haven’t picked up Sammy’s fifth year option yet. They mortgaged the house in 2014 to trade up for Sammy, and Sammy’s foot keeps crapping out year after year. Not to say Sammy’s time is up in Buffalo after 2017, but maybe they need a second fiddle to let him come to fruition. Mike Williams is that possession Y route receiver they need. Let Sammy hold the X down and pull safety coverage all game, letting Williams win jump balls over the top. Now just don’t fuck up, Tyrod.
